Hi Everyone,

I hope that you all had an enjoyable time with the Melbourne Cup yesterday and walked away with a win.

At its meeting, the Reserve Bank of Australia decided to once again leave the cash rate unchanged at 2.5%. What's your bet for next month? Will interest rates go up or down. It is more than likely a sure bet they will stay the same.

In this issue read about the RBA's media release about the cash rate, the reasons why the benefits of home ownership extends far beyond capital growth and the age-old debate about buying property versus shares. In addition, we give first home buyers some tips and see if your real estate agent has the five skills to help secure the best result.

Please feel free to contact us about any matter - we are always happy to hear from you and to assist!

Kind regards,

Donna Westwood
