Welcome to the April issue of our newsletter.

At its meeting today, the Reserve Bank of Australia decided once again to leave the cash rate unchanged at 3%. We expect that lenders will therefore leave their variable rates unchanged as well.

In this issue we walk you through some of the tax rules you should be aware of when owning property through your self managed super fund, the first real signs of the residential property market recovering and can the past few flat years teach us what is ahead for investing in property. We also give you a few tips for bidding at an auction and if you are considering on upgrading or downsizing then we discuss whether it's best to buy your new home first or sell your existing home first.
